Take a walk through The Cottage at Tomato Factory and into Kristina’s Keepsakes.

Primitive cupboards and hutches, a dry sink, benches and small tables—solid, older pieces with the right wear.

Shelves lined with enamel bowls, crocks, and mixing bowls. Crocks filled with wooden rolling pins. Old kitchen utensils, graters, and hand tools. Stacks of teacups and saucers, green and blue stoneware, pitchers, and everyday pieces that still hold up.

They’ve got a beautiful antique oak church pew with carved detail — solid, heavy, and full of character. Right next to it, a primitive wooden cradle that looks like it’s been around since the 1800s! Both pieces are amazing!

For the collectors: a stunning inlaid chess/game table on a tripod base with mother-of-pearl detail on the legs — truly one of a kind. A vintage wooden magazine rack in warm honey oak. And a sweet little blue metal school desk with the lift top, paired with a rush seat ladder-back chair.
On the shelf, we’ve loaded up on colorful pottery and glass — a hand-painted poppy sugar bowl, a Fiesta-style burgundy pitcher, a green pottery mug, cobalt blue bowls, and an amber glass pitcher. Plus vintage pressed glass, crystal pitchers, and a blue & white candle holder.

Art lovers, we have framed prints worth a look — a dramatic sailboat seascape, a golfers-on-the-green print, botanical tulip prints, and a gorgeous framed beach scene with striped cabanas and a wide open sky.

French Louis XV vitrine à deux corps, c. 1880–1920. Hand-cast ormolu bronze mounts, floral marquetry inlay on the bombé base, curved glass on three sides. Interior glass shelves intact.

The form is classic Belle Époque French cabinetmaking at its most refined. Rococo Revival proportions, serpentine silhouette, and mount quality consistent with the major Parisian ateliers of the period.

Take your time when you walk into Potter’s Wheel at Tomato Factory!

Shelves are lined with American art pottery in deep greens, matte teals, warm browns, and blended glazes. Roseville jardinieres with raised florals. Weller vases with sculptural handles. Fulper forms with soft flowing lines. Classic Rookwood pieces with beautiful detail. Pedestal bowls with applied roses. Tall statement vases. Arts & Crafts shapes that feel solid and timeless.

Mixed in are hand-painted pitchers, lidded pottery, crocks, teapots, and rich cobalt and cream pieces that stop you the second you spot them.

Inside the glass cases — early coins neatly sleeved and labeled, vintage beaded necklaces, pocket watches, cut crystal bowls, etched decanters, cobalt stemware, blue depression glass, pink pressed glass cups and saucers, brass goblets, transferware plates, and hand-painted platters.

Along the walls and lower shelves: old mason jars and apothecary bottles, classic kitchen tools — strainers, mashers, ladles, hand mixers — wooden butter paddles, rolling pins, washboards, cast metal wall plaques including zodiac and figural designs, antique candelabras, mid-century serving bowls, and framed art tucked between other interesting pieces.

And then the unexpected — black sculptural figurines, ruby and amber art glass, pedestal compotes, ceramic elephants and oversized yellow mixing bowls straight out of a 1950s kitchen! Stop by to see this and so much more at Tomato Factory!

Whatever it is, you can find it in Hopewell’s Tomato Factory, located at 2 Somerset Street. Long a favorite of customers from Princeton and beyond, it is a cooperative featuring 18 different shops all conveniently located under one roof.

“The Tomato Factory has become the place I go when I am looking for something specific, whether it be seasonal decor or a gift for a friend, but also somewhere to go when I have a day off. It’s a magical place. You don’t tell Tomato Factory what you’re looking for — it tells you!” says Caroline Noebels of Hightstown.
